While teen obsessions change almost daily a strong front runner remains Stanleys. It has become one of the items many people would like to get their hands on. They suddenly became everyone’s favorite cup and it was carried everywhere. People take it with them to the gym, school, grocery store and use it at home.
Bradley students have loved this trend and they are in love with the Stanleys. Samantha Reda (10) owns a Stanley as well and believes Stanleys are becoming popular because “It’s kind of like how Hydro Flasks evolved, lots of influencers started to show them off which inspired young teens to want them.” I do agree with the statement because I’m influenced very much by these types of things. Lexi Fields (10) has owned her Stanley for a little bit now, “I like my Stanley tumbler because it keeps my drink cold all day. I usually put ice in it at like 7 am and the ice doesn’t melt until after school usually.” I really love that about tumblers and Stanleys because you're able to get your money’s worth out of them. Especially, if you choose to purchase a tumbler as expensive.
I do think it deserves all the hype it has gotten because it is a really good cup. Sydney Perkins (11) shares what she would change about the tumblers. “I would fix the lid somehow because it spills all the time.” That is one of the only major issues I have heard about it. Personally, after purchasing it, I think it’s not that bad of a spill; it’s manageable at least for me.
The Staff around Bradley High school also use Stanleys frequently. Some staff members are Stanley owners, Mrs. O’Mara, an English teacher, comments, “I really wanted it after I saw it on Tik Tok, but I will say I do like it. Even though the second one is better than the first one because it spills less.” I do love mine and I have the same Stanley that Mrs. O’Mara has, only in a different color.
The tumbler I own is the (Soft Matte) in the color Dune, and it’s price was $50, excluding tax and shipping. The regular 40 OZ Stanley costs $45 plus tax and shipping, this one does come in more colors than the one I talked about before. Miss Wulff, Sophomore English teacher and Yearbook advisor explains, “It’s so worth the price. I kid you not, I probably fill up my water about 4 times a day. They have a variety of colors to choose from and they are supposed to be no spill.” As far as I have seen on the Stanley website, they have launched a new size in their tumblers which is 14 OZ and costs $20. That is the cheapest one they sell, to anyone who doesn’t want to buy an off brand Stanley but still wants to look trendy. This is a great option!
I think I would recommend purchasing the Stanley tumbler if you are looking to buy a cup or water bottle that keeps your water cold. Though, I don’t think everyone should buy it unless you are ready to pay quite a bit for it because it is pretty expensive. But don’t let that stop you from buying something similar that comes with a better price. There are so many options out there that you can choose from Hydro Flasks, or something from Amazon. The brand’s tumblers do sell fast, so if you ever want to get your hands on one, be quick about. They also sell water bottles and other items, not just limited to tumblers. The colors that are currently available in the 40 OZ (Soft Matte) are the citron and jade. I will leave the link of the Stanley down below if you ever consider buying one.
