The capybara is a magnificent rodent that can grow to an astonishing 51 inches. They are the world's largest rodent and have a strong sense of family. These are just a few reasons why they are one of my favorite animals. Many other students share this sentiment and hope to see more appreciation for the capybara.

The capybara is favorable to younger generations for being cute, Sara Lang

(12) has an interesting take on their physical appearance “why do they look at that? What is it? A dog, a rabbit, an “anteater”? Yeah as if, it’s a mix of not only these animals, but it is my belief that the capybara is all the best parts of every single animal on earth. God's animal.” I couldn’t agree more Sara! It is god's animal and perfected the art of existence.

The impression of the capy being a mashup of animals is an idea shared with Mrs. Cowles (English) who says it, “looks like a cross between a squirrel, guinea pig, and beaver.” I personally agree with that statement as it does encapsulate the essence of a capybara. Though the capybara may look like a mix of animals, it really is just a rodent that eats melons and is under the radar of many people.

Capybaras also have a large presence on social media. There are many

accounts and photos dedicated to this wondrous creature. A fellow student, Ryli Hoang (12) shared the picture (below, above side wherever it would go) and went on to boast about how it is, “a distinguished gentlemen” and “the biggest rodent”. All more reasons to rave about a worthy animal.

The passion for the magnum opus of the animal kingdom can be shared in

two words, “love capybaras” as Kate Cunningham (11) said. Sadly not everyone can see the glory of the capy, Mrs. Lawrence (French) said “It has a squirlish face, I want it to be cute but it's not.” This is a very understandable reaction as it does have a weird first impression. Even with this considered the capybara will grow on anyone who looks at it.

The reaction given to this masterpiece’s existence was primarily positive. The

love for them continues with Caleb Hill (12), who thinks “capybaras are cute and they deserve everything in this world.” They truly do. They deserve all the praise and adorable videos they get on the internet. All the videos of them in nice pools and eating melons is well earned. They deserve the most love of any animal.

The capybara has ignited a passion deep within the soul and setting hearts ablaze here at Bradley High. It is my opinion, and hopefully yours, that capybaras are as good as it gets, the creme of the crop, the crème de la crème, the king of kings.
