Coffee and refreshments are a part of our daily lives. Especially if high school students are involved with Starbucks drinks. It’s very normal for people to buy a drink from starbucks about 1-2 times a week and sometimes for many it’s even more than that. Even though there are pros and cons to Starbucks coffee and beverages.

Mrs. Waller, the sociology teacher talks about how her husband is very involved with the rewards program. “I think there’s lots of benefits to the app. My husband uses it, he is constantly whipping out his app and getting free stuff.” That is one of the major good things about this. The points that your able to collect by spending money later come back to you and you can use them to get free drinks or bakery items.

The pros ab

out Starbucks outweigh the cons. Miss Wulff talks about the convenience of being able to use the app. “ I love the Starbucks mobile app, it’s fantastic. Because I run late in the mornings anyways, so if I can just sweep by and pick it up, I will never go through the drive through ever again.” This is one of the things that lots of coffee shops and fast food places have that makes the customer want to go there. Lots of students don’t have time to go and place their order and wait so they do what Miss Wulff does so they can get to school on time.

One of the cons about Starbucks in general is how the rewards have changed over the years. Kyra Pickles (10) talks about how the rewards have been changed for the worst. “It went from 150 stars to 200 to get a free drink.” How I see this is that they are increasingly making harder for customers to get free stuff because they want to see people spending more money so they can get their free drinks. It is so hard now to get to 200 stars because I am trying so hard to get there.

This is another benefit about having the app and being a rewards member. Olivia Solokha (10) shares why she likes using the app. “I enjoy using the Starbucks app because you can get free drinks on your birthday.” I love this about Starbucks because I look forward to this offer all year long. Audrey Bruntz (10) shares her thoughts about what you can collect as a rewards member. “I like the little stars you can get.” The “stars” are the rewards points you can get once you spend money. On every $1 spent you can collect 1 Starbucks point.

Starbucks is a favorite of everyone even though many people choose to not participate and drink coffee from there. It is very annoying because the Starbucks in Hilliard Rome Rd has been closed for renovation, I was shocked when I went there on my birthday. The other one which is in Target, their espresso machine is down and that is very annoying because I have been meaning to try some new drinks but overall I love Starbucks coffee and refreshers for a nice little treat and I don’t think I could live without it.
