Winter sports pick back up bringing excitement to Bradley


Winter sports are a highlight here at Bradley. What more could our students want then to watch our amazing indoor sports this season! All of these athletes have been working hard since the summer and they are excited to see the support from our student body this 2021-2022 season.


Boys Basketball

Hilliard Bradley is known for their boys basketball program. The reason for this popularity is because of the success they've had for the past seven years. The teams are finalized for this season and there is a freshman, junior varsity, and varsity team this year. This team is packed with talent all throughout the program. They have started their season with some scrimmages and lost to their rival Davidson and beat Darby there other crosstown rival.

Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team consists of two teams this season. They have been in the gym and getting stronger since the summer. With covid last year both teams are excited for a thrilling season with fans this year. The junior varsity and varsity teams have started their season off with multiple scrimmages and a few games. Senior Megan Walker says, “I’m really bittersweet because I know that this is my last season playing basketball ever”. Both teams are excited to see what the rest of the season holds for them and they can’t wait to keep playing.

Bradley bowling this year consists of two teams that are co ed with all high school grades included. They have begun playing their matches and have a packed schedule the rest of the season. Freshman bowler on varsity, Madison Kaylor says, “I love all of the people there and the fact that everyone is willing to help”. They would really appreciate the support from Bradley students. make sure you look at their schedule for this 2021-22 season and try to attend a match.

Wrestling

Bradley’s wrestling team has been working


hard this off season and are excited for the start of something new and great. They are a very talented group of kids who have a passion for this sport. There are two teams this year, junior varsity and varsity, with both boys and girls. Make sure to check out their schedule and come to a meet if you can!

The winter sports season has started and The Jaguar Times is wishing every athlete good luck. We hope all students come and support the jags this season! Check out the athletic calendar to stay updated on game times and dates.
