On Friday, May 6th, Bradley theater Troupe 7415 held its yearly Thespian inductions ceremony. This is the most eventful night of the year for the troupe, bringing in new inductees, new troupe officers, and announcing the shows for next year.

This year brought out the largest number of new inductees the troupe has seen in quite a while, inducting nearly 20 individuals, actors and stage crew alike. Along with that, new officers were chosen to hold important troupe positions. Jessica Cline (11) was chosen to be the Troupe President for the next school year, replacing graduating senior Audrey Brown.

Jessica is more than grateful for the opportunity she has been given, saying that she is “so thrilled to have this position. I’m really excited for this upcoming year and being able to lead the troupe for my senior year.” Abbey Bialek (10) was elected Vice President. On the tech side, Layal Motasem (11) was elected Tech President, and Isabel Kheng-Chindavong (9) was elected Tech Vice President.

The end of the season was a bittersweet one, seeing off many beloved seniors who were invaluable to the troupe as a whole. However, for every ending there is a new beginning. The 2022-2023 season will play host to five equally exciting productions, and the inclusion of not one, but two musicals- a first for the troupe.

Fall musical- The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Fall mainstage- Treasure Island

Winter mainstage- The Play That Goes Wrong

Winter blackbox- One Act Murder Mystery Workshop

Spring musical- Pippin

If any of these productions interest you, consider giving Bradley theater a try. You do not have to have prior experience to audition, and the troupe is always looking for new members. Madison Sheard (10), a troupe officer and inducted thespian, has this to say: “Bradley Theater is a home for those who haven’t quite found it yet. It is the only place where I truly feel I am able to be myself while playing so many different characters.“ Theater is a wonderful and inclusive space full of opportunities to meet new people and try new things.
