Bradley prom took place on Saturday April 29th, 2023 at Kemba Live from 7-10:30pm. The theme for the 2023 prom was Enchanted Forest.

The venue was lined with decadent leafy displays and the colorful concert lights lit up the room. The pit of the concert venue served as the dance floor, with the surrounding area featuring tables and chairs to provide students with a quick break from dancing. It even featured a photo booth for students to capture their night in pictures to look back on later.

The DJ was set up on the stage and brought quite the light display of his own. Many students were happy with the song selection this year, but wished that some songs were played longer before transitioning into the next song.

Tatum Severe (12) says, “he would play the beginning parts of the song, but then switch it when it got to the good parts.” She adds, “it just kind of killed the mood when he would do that.”

However, the night did have its own highlights regardless of the music transitions. Ms. Thomas, an English teacher, took the stage and showed up all the students in attendance with her dougie.

Other staff members appeared to enjoy the event as well. Mr. Beavers, hall monitor, states that it was the “best prom that we’ve had since I’ve been at Bradley!”

Another highlight of the night was the crowning of prom king and queen. Voting took place upon entry to the venue. This year’s prom king and queen were Kash Smith and Mya Baker.

Although there were certainly some highs and lows of the night, Bradley prom 2023 can be considered a success. Olivia Slominski (12) is overall happy with her senior prom experience, stating “prom was an experience I will never forget and I’m so thankful this was the last one.”
