The NFL season brings lots of excitement to many people, especially at our school. Junior Max Hockman says, “I’m so hype for this season." This season has been wild so far and we are only midway through the season. Each team was accounted for in making this list; it was very tough narrowing it down to just ten teams. The NFL power rankings is based on what teams we think are the best based on their whole overall team. Without further ado here we go from 10-1.
10. Cleveland Browns (6-6)
The Browns have been powered by their running backs all season as Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt have been outstanding this season. Amounting almost 1,000 yards each. Baker Mayfield has been alright this season only throwing when needed. Their defense has been great as Myles Garret leads the league in sacks.
9. Buffalo Bills (7-5)
Josh Allen has been average so far this season compared to years past. Stefon Diggs has been great as their number one target undoubtedly the whole year. Their real estate is on the defensive side of the ball as they have been ballhawks all year forcing turnovers.
8. Dallas Cowboys (8-4)
Trevon Diggs has emerged as one of the top corners in the league and has amounted a handful of interceptions. After coming off an ankle injury quarterback Dak Prescott has led the Cowboys to a strong eight and four record. “The injuries have played a big part this season at times even defining games” Trevor Schuler 11.
7. Los Angeles Chargers (7-5)
Justin Herbert has been amazing in his second season as he has been the undisputed leader of the Bolts this year. Derwin James and Joey Bosa have been great additions on the defensive team and have truly won games for this LA team. “They have a lot of potential, but haven’t played well against top tier teams” Scott Caudill 12.
6. Baltimore Ravens (8-4)
The Ravens have been great but also had luck on their side. Especially after beating the Lions on a sixty six yard field goal as time expired. Lamar Jackson had emerged as a top tier passer the passing game allowed the Ravens to lead the AFC North.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3)
Tom Brady is having an MVP caliber season as the Bucs are nine and three led by a stout defense and run game. The run game with Leonard Fournette has helped take the pressure off Brady and help him succeed.
4. Green Bay Packers (9-3)
The Packers looked abysmal in week one after losing to the Saints 38-3. Since then they have taken off and have been red hot, amounting nine wins to just two losses. Aaron Rodgers has put the off season behind him and is leading this deep Packers team.
3. Los Angeles Rams (8-4)
Matthew Stanford has been a great QB for the Rams this year. Their defense has been led by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. Stafford has thrown thirty touchdowns and 3,611 yards. He and the Rams look to continue their success as the season goes on.
2. Tennessee Titans (8-4)
The Titans have continued to amaze without their star running back Derek Henry Ryan. Quarterback Tannehill has been great hitting Julio Jones and AJ Brown. Their Defense has been great as well, amounting to seven wins so far.
1. Arizona Cardinals (10-2)
The Cardinals have been outstanding on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Kyler Murray is in his third season. He has been great running and throwing the ball while their defense has been stellar as well. They are averaging 368.8 yards per game.
NFL power rankings are constantly changing as each game concludes. For now the Cardinals are the outright number one team just solely because of their record. There are teams ready to grab the top stop on any given Sunday, such as the Packers, Titans, and Rams. No matter who you root for it’s fun to see how much things change each week. We look forward to the final week to see how this all shapes up, leading to the Super Bowl!
