The NFL MVP race has been nothing but close all year and now with less than half the season left the race is starting to shake into place, with front runners like Patrick Mahomes, and Russell Wilson. There are also dark horses like Kyler Murray, and Josh Allen. There is one name that you can’t leave out and his name is Aaron Rodgers and he somehow manages to get his name into the MVP conversation every year. The stats hold a strong case for each candidate though and if they all continue to play well they should be in good shape.

Thursday night football went to Russ and the Seahawks where they squeaked out a 28-21 victory over the Cardinals. Russ threw for 197 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Murray threw for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns. Murray outplayed Russ but Russ led the hawks to Win and at the end of the day that’s all that matters. Murray also had a great game rushing. Aaron Rodgers took an L to the Colts in overtime due to his receiver fumbling the ball and giving the Colts perfect field position to win the game with a field goal. Rodgers threw for 311 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception. Patrick Mahomes faces the Raiders and is looking for revenge after an ugly week 5 loss to them at home.

These top tier NFL QBs have been balling out and with less than half the season remaining, and the race for MVP gets tighter expect these guys to elevate their game to new heights. For some the road might look easier than others but none the less each player deserves the same amount of respect for putting up these insane numbers week in and week out.
