Ohio State had a strong showing today despite a rocky start giving up a Nebraska touchdown not even two minutes into the game. Ohio state responded with a Master Teague touchdown to even the game up at seven. Justin Field was nearly unstoppable going twenty for twenty one passing for two hundred seventy six yards and two touchdowns he also added another touchdown on the ground with a crafty seventeen yard scramble. Ohio State’s defense was another story, they started the game off on a rocky start giving up easy draw plays up the middle and letting Nebraska and Adrian Martinez move the ball with ease. Sevyn Banks had a fifty five yard fumble recovery touchdown and that’s when Nebraska saw the beginning of the end and when the game truly started to shift in Ohio State’s favor. Here are some thoughts of fellow Bradley students on what play finally switched the momentum back into the buckeyes favor.

Jacob Thomas (10) says that “Master Teagues touchdown right before halftime really helped us take the momentum into halftime and continue it into the second half.” Max Hockman (10) says “ the Njigba catch in the back of the endzone had the most impact because it was so spectacular and had the Cornhuskers shell shocked.” Griffin Way (10) said “ the scoop and score really helped the buckeyes feel like they’re in the driver’s seat and want to close the game out in style.”

The Buckeyes will travel to happy valley next week to take on Penn State who lost to Indiana in OT. Despite the loss Penn State took it will still be a worthy opponent and an early challenge to the Buckeyes and true testament to how good Ohio State truly is. The Buckeyes looked like a top three team in the country and shows no signs of slowing down but a strong week one showing from teams like Michigan and Wisconsin the path to the big ten crown won’t be easy.
