As every year rolls around, students start walking the halls of the Jaguar jungle. This year Bradley welcomes 9 new teachers and staff members. These new staff members are familiar faces from other buildings and last year while some are new to Hilliard.
One of the first new Bradley staff is Ms. Mandi Fant, a new study hall teacher. She graduated from Darby in 2017. She is someone who loves to help wherever she’s needed: With “I’m proud to be a part of this district. I know how well it tries …It works really hard to implement programs for students and staff alike.” The students of Bradley are truly lucky to be a part of such a great district that some other students might not get the chance to benefit from.
Mr. Dan Hoover is an EL and ASL tutor, and has taught at Weaver middle sch
ool. In the past, he has coached the girls program at Bradley and Davidson.
Mr. Hoover shares what he likes about Bradley the most. He says, “I love Bradley, I think Mr. Warfield and Mr. Hamilton do a great job here. I love the kids., I think they're great.” Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Warfield do their best to make Bradley a safe and including for every student.
This is Mr. Akers first year teaching at Bradley but he taught 3 years at a private school in downtown Columbus. As a member of the business department, his role is teaching future ready and marketing. Mr. Akers shares,“I really like Bradley, I like the students. I’m from Hilliard so I think it’s nice to be able to come back to my home district. I like the culture, the fact that people are excited to show up to school each day, and the diversity.” One of the best factors about Bradley is the different backgrounds that each student comes from and how it has shaped the school into becoming an inclusive space where they can all come together.
Our educators are a really significant part of what keeps this building going everyday. Without them we wouldn’t be where we are today. Thank you to all these people who do their best everyday to make us feel that we matter. Bradley is lucky have all of you!
