The Jaguar Times is Hilliard Bradley's Journalism and Broadcast Production staff. We produce Bradley's daily broadcast announcements and keep you up-to-date with stories written by our staff for the students of Bradley.
Jayla Shanmugam is a Staff Writer and Editor-In-Chief for the Jaguar Times. This is her second year as a member of the Jaguar Times, and she is also a part of Symphonic Choir, Jaguar Ambassadors, National Honors Society, and is a Choir officer. When she isn’t volunteering and singing, she enjoys downtime with her family and friends, watching movies, and reading. She loves animals, especially her two cats, and spends a lot of time working on school work. She hopes to attend college and become a lawyer when she grows up.
Ashleigh Owens is a senior at Hilliard Bradley High School and is the Assistant Editor-in-Chief for The Jaguar Times. This is her second year as a member of the Jaguar Times and she is also a member of Interact Club, NHS, theatre, choir, and Academy EDU. She lives with her family in Hilliard, Ohio and is one of 4 kids, two younger brothers and an older sister. When she isn’t busy she loves to read, play guitar, and snuggle with her Goldendoodle Ruby. Go jags!
Arts, Style, and Beauty
Hannah Boggs is a senior at Bradley and the Arts and Style Section Editor for The Jaguar Times. This is her second year being a part of this Journalism and Broadcast course. In her free time she loves to make jewelry, take care of her plants, and watch Netflix! Her favorite shows to watch are Criminal Minds, That 70's Show, and The Office. Hannah really enjoys writing and has always loved getting creative with her ideas! She is looking forward to writing and editing for The Jaguar Times one last year before she graduates and studies forensic psychology in college.
Eric Vah is a Senior and this year’s Sports Editor for The Jaguar Times. This is his second year as a member of The Jaguar Times. He is also a member of the Hilliard Bradley Intramural Sports Advisory Committee and Hilliard Bradley Boys Track & Field team. When he isn’t involved with these activities, he loves to play video games and play basketball and football with friends. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and his favorite food is hamburgers. He plans to major in broadcast journalism after high school, but he is still undecided on where he will go to college.
Avah Fetzer is a Sophomore Staff Writer and the Entertainment Editor for The Jaguar Times. This is her second year being a part of The Jaguar Times. Outside of school, Avah really enjoys dancing and babysitting. She has been a competitive dancer since she was 5 and babysits most days, after school. When time allows, she also really enjoys to film and edit small videos of herself dancing. She also enjoys sharing things about herself to those around her, hoping to eventually make an impact of some sort.
Alana Bridges is a Sophomore staff writer and the Media and Broadcast Editor for The Jaguar Times. This is her second year as a staff writer and first year as an editor. She is the captain of the JV girls soccer team and a varsity track runner. When she isn't at school she works part time at Starliner Diner. Alana hopes to attend The Ohio Northern University and become a family attorney.
Hunter Wilson is a Senior Staff Writer for the Jaguar Times. He is a first year member of the Jaguar Times and is also a member of the Bradley Baseball Team. During his free time he enjoys exercising, playing video games, writing poetry and reading about current events.
Bri Nutter is a Senior and a Staff Writer for the Jaguar Times. She is a member of Shades of Blue a Cappella and an officer in Bradley’s Symphonic Choir. This is her first year in journalism. When not reading and writing, she enjoys singing, cleaning, and being outdoors.
Jahari Henry is a Junior Staff Writer for The Jaguar Times and participating in his first year as a member. He is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and a 2x winner of the Hilliard Optimist Oratorical contest. In his spare time he enjoys watching movies and historical documentaries.
Charlie Kaneer is a Senior Staff Writer and Opinion Editor for the Jaguar Times. This is his second year as a member of the Jaguar Times as well as his second year at HBHS. He has participated in theatre for three years and plans to pursue live performance as well as creative and journalistic writing in his career. He loves English, writing, sweet tea, and cats.
MaKenzie Hilling is a Senior Staff Writer and Student Life Editor for The Jaguar Times. This year is her second year on The Jaguar Times staff. She is also a member of the Hilliard Bradley Softball team. When not playing school Softball, you’ll find her playing travel Softball for the Ohio Stingrays. MaKenzie has played softball for 11 years and is going to Bucknell University to play in college. During her free time, MaKenzie will paint canvases as a way to get away from stress.
Blaise Runyon is a Staff Writer and News Section Editor for The Jaguar Times. This is her Junior year of high school and first year writing as a member of The Jaguar Times. Outside of school she competes in the AQHA and enjoys gardening. After graduation she plans to attend college and ride on a SEC Equestrian Team.
Josie Harshfield is a junior at Hilliard Bradley High school. She is in 11th grade and a staff writer. Josie enjoys hanging out with her friends and doing her makeup. She doesn’t do sports or clubs, but she does have a job at smoothie king
Anna Alford is a Senior Staff Writer for The Jaguar Times. This is her first year on the staff. This is her third year playing varsity volleyball, and her first year as a varsity captain. When she isn’t at school or on the court, she enjoys cooking and baking. Anna is committed to play volleyball at the University of Toledo where she hopes to study natural sciences.
Jordan is a senior at Hilliard Bradley. He is in his first year in journalism, as a staff writer. Jordan is also involved in sports and loves to write about football. Jordan spends his free time outside and or with friends. Jordan is a sports writer.
Alejandra Ramirez is a senior at Hilliard Bradley High School and Staff Writer for The Jaguar Times. This is her first time being part of The Jaguar Times. She has participated in her school orchestra since her time being there, and she is currently part of the Chamber orchestra as a second violinist. During her free time, Alejandra enjoys playing her violin, dancing, and watching tv. After graduation, Alejandra plans on attending the Ohio state university.
Brayden Laslo is a staff writer for the Jaguar Times. He is a first year
member of the Jaguar Times and is also a member of the choir,
cross country, and baseball team. When he isn’t busy with all these
things he loves to commentate girls basketball games and DJs his
own radio show.
Derek Brown is a Senior staff writer for the Jaguar Times. This is his second year being a part of the Jaguar Times. Derek is a member of the Hilliard Bradley Football team and is also a member of the Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field teams. When Derek is not playing any of those sports, he loves to watch his favorite teams, The Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Athletics and every other team in Cleveland. Derek is also heavily involved with his church’s youth group, which is called Velocity!
